GERMAN CHRISTMAS MARKET • 5 Locations in Old Québec
Are you excited to see our beautiful city of Québec transform into Santa’s village? As every year, the enchanting German Christmas Market, with its charming wooden chalets, will kick off the festivities. Just steps from the hotel, whether with family or friends, you can enjoy comforting food and drinks, discover lovely gift ideas for everyone, and, most importantly, have fun. My personal favorite: the toy cable car near the skating rink at Place d’Youville—perfect for reliving childhood magic. I’ll definitely see you there!
HELEN MCNICOLL AT THE MUSÉE NATIONAL DES BEAUX-ARTS DE QUÉBEC • Until January 5, 2025
Sometimes, you visit a museum to see a specific exhibition, and along the way, you stumble upon an unexpected artist who deeply moves you. That’s exactly what happened to me with the Canadian Impressionist painter Helen McNicoll. Presented in a stunning scenography, her works, celebrating women and their emerging freedom at the dawn of the 20th century, radiate light. You travel not only through time but also through the places she reveals. You’ll find yourself wishing you could sit with her on the beach or follow her through the changing seasons. Don’t miss the chance to discover this incredible artist before January 5 at the Musée national des beaux-arts de Québec—you won’t regret it!
LES FRÈRES DE LA CÔTE • 1129 Rue Saint-Jean
Many of our guests are eager to enjoy French cuisine. Without hesitation, I send them to one of my favorite bistros, just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel: Les Frères de la Côte. There, you’ll be greeted with warmth and a smile in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. The menu is varied and generous, sure to satisfy every craving. My personal favorites? As a true Frenchwoman, I can’t resist their foie gras… and their escargots with Pastis. Go on, be bold—give them a try, and you’ll thank me later!
