PLAY AN ULTRA-ARTY MINI GOLF• Montcalm District

Unleash your best swing! Follow in the footsteps of the famed Carl Carmoni and put all your mini-golf skills to the test on an exceptionally original course.

Far more than the typical 18-hole layout, this is a full-blown exhibition conceived by over 20 artists from Atelier Belleville (LAB-545), in collaboration with Exmuro. These creators took on the challenge of twisting and reinventing a pastime that’s both popular and delightfully kitschy. In the Montcalm District, you’ll have the chance to chase a birdie amid whimsical and unexpected obstacles, absurd set designs, sensory immersions, and quirky interactions.

A TRUE FAMILY STORY • Sainte-Famille, Ile d’Orléans

The name Domaine Sainte-Famille Vineyard is no coincidence.

It carries a double meaning: not only is it located in Sainte-Famille on Île d’Orléans, but it’s also a genuine family endeavor. Dominique, Christian, and their four children manage the estate’s 62 hectares, home to a vineyard, orchards, a winery, and a charming period boutique where tastings take place.

But the best is yet to come! Behind their boutique, the family has crafted a lovely, inviting terrace.

That’s precisely where I encourage you to settle in and linger a while. Bring along a good book or borrow one of the outdoor games—such as ring toss or Molkky skittles—to enhance your moment of relaxation.

QUÉBEC OPERA FESTIVAL

Whether you’re a seasoned opera connoisseur or have never had the chance to experience one live, the 14th edition of the Québec Opera Festival is sure to enchant you.

Not only does this year continue to spotlight French-language opera, it also celebrates the richness and diversity of female figures through works that explore the theme of freedom. The centerpiece of the program, Carmen, marks its 150th anniversary with a rare fully original staging—including its spoken dialogue—that purists will adore.

My top recommendation? The free outdoor performances held in the park, where you can savor short, one-act operas complete with staging and costumes. Expect plenty of fun and inspiration!
